Brighter Behavior Choices
Brighter Behavior choices is a not-for-profit, transitional housing program for women. Housed in a bungalow on Chicago’s south side, the facility provides a new beginning to reduce recidivism for women. It is set up to assist ex-offenders that may face homelessness and unemployment.
Along with providing temporary housing, the facility aims to help with life skills, employment opportunities, alcohol and substance recovery meetings, and recreational support development. The building can house 8 to 10 individual females.
Northlight Architects completed the life safety inspection report required by the Illinois Department of Human Services, and consulted on changes needed to meet the requirements of the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
