Living, Dining, Family Rooms
Library, Den, Media Room
2nd Floor Laundry
A single family home designed under the Chicago Green Permit Program, the building expresses a traditional Chicago neighborhood character. The house has two floors and a basement, with a 9′-6″ first floor ceiling height, and cathedral ceilings on the second floor. There are three fireplaces, one in the family room, library, and master bedroom suite.
Utilizing high efficiency furnaces, tankless water heaters and mechanical system best practices, the building envelope consists of pre-fabricated and insulated steel wall and roof panels. The panels are constructed in a controlled environment in a local factory and shipped to the site for erection. Floor trusses are pre-fabricated with openings for mechanical ducts and piping.
All appliances are energy star rated, furnaces and hot water heaters are centrally located and facets are the low-flow type. Finishes include renewable bamboo flooring and low VOC paints and stains. Cabinets are made from zero formaldehyde particle board. The building is efficient and easy to maintain.
